Snorkel the rim of the Great Blue Hole in Belize Snorkeling Trips

About a 2.5 hour boat ride from San Pedro is more great snorkeling. The rim of the Great Blue Hole, The reef fronting the Half Moon Caye Natural Monument , and the reef fronting Long Caye are all visited on the same trip. The trip is all day, starting with a pick up at your dock between 5:15am A continental breakfast is offered and for a hot lunch you stop at Half Moon Caye Natural Monument. This is also a Bobbie Bird Sanctuary. The last stop of the reef at Long Caye Aquarium. If there are snorkelers and divers in you group they can share the experience as both activities are don at the same sites.
On the return trip snacks and rum punches or juice is served. This is a fun and full day. Back in town about 6pm

The Great Blue Hole is a large submarine sinkhole off the coast of Belize. It lies near the center of Lighthouse Reef, a small atoll 70 kilometers (43 mi) from the mainland and Belize City. The hole is circular in shape, over 300 meters (984 ft) across and 124 meters (407 ft) deep.

A guided snorkel tours takes you the the rim of the Blue Hole. Looking at the picture you can see the incredible coral life there.

The Great Blue Hole is a part of the larger Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, a World Heritage Site of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
